Country Kid.. harmonies are always good when done with taste. When the artist gets carried away or goes overboard with it, instead nga mo tabang sa sound sa kanta, it goes against it instead - like that guy sa demo - having 3 part harmonies and not considering if the 2nd harmony would go well with the 3rd in some passages.

Why pamper life's complexities when the leather runs smooth on the passenger seat?

OT: I'm not really much on the barber shop type stuff.

    Try Solar Sister by Posies.

    YouTube - The Posies-Solar Sister
YouTube - The Posies - Solar Sister (acoustic)

I really love these guys' harmonies....

Other recommended tracks: Burn and Shine, Flavor of the Month, Apology, Definite Door, Earlier Than Expected, etc...

OT: Imogen Heap on that song seemed like she was trying to emulate ENYA's layered sound.

    On Topic:

Di man gyud kaayo ko maka sakay aning country. There's only a handful country songs nga maka antos kog paminaw.. and most of them aren't entirely country songs but country-influenced instead.

Now, I'm not letting my prejudice against country music get involve with my opinion on The Difficult Stranger's songs. I think he has some good ideas here and there but it's the vocal parts that really needs some work on. I can see him play some open mic and acoustic sessions.. ang naka lisod lang sab kay Cebuanos are not really all that into country music he might find himself having a hard time to get some following going on. On the other hand, his love songs/ballads should snag a few female fans every now and then.

    Just my 2 cents.

    OT:
Just listened to The Posies and i can also smell a little bit of midwestern rock in there. Not sure 'bout the other songs though.

    T:
yup country influenced rock like Gin Blossoms and The Black Crowes are nice.

Southwings, The Difficult Stranger, and Steven Cinco are the only country influenced i knw here in Cebu.

Rescue A Hero has some Mystic Valley Band influenced to a lesser degree pero dili jud totally...
