Wa sad ko ka suway bai. Nakoy laptop dri na man cyay line-in, pero its not fast enough 2 deal w/ dis kind of application. Ako pc ako gamit para ana. Depende rajud na sa hardware bai. if equipped imo laptop ug video/capture card w/ VIVO (ex. S-Video for analog, n Firewire or USB 4 digital), procesor na 2.0ghz minimum, and atlst 512 of RAM (recommended:1 gig)... Payts na na!
apil pod ang speed sa hard disk bai, murag naa pod sa effect kung 5400rpm ug 7200rpm, mokaging ako nacapture using a 5400 rpm, just an observation.Originally Posted by geetarista

Not so with Intervideo WinDVD Recorder. That's why I recommend it. It captures smoothly fast even with old hard disk drives and PC's as slow as Pentium III-800 Mhz. And I'm talking about capturing in DVD Mpeg2 format.
Frame drops occur when the had disk gets too busy writing overly large video files. With WinDVD, files are relatively smaller, resulting in smoother disk writes. It records and compresses to MPEG in real time at software level.
WinDVD can also capture television video directly from a TV PCI card. Some samples.

This is the standard VCD NTSC video size.

or you could try adobe premier to capture/edit videos... I use TMPGenc for converting uncompressed AVI to MPEG or M2V for dvd authoring. I've tried WinDVD before, its fast but low quality ang output and daghan noise.. dugay2x na sad to but i dunno with the latest versions.
TMPGenc's output is as clear as an uncompressed AVI video, although hinay siya mo convert pero id rather wait. ^___^
if you're planning to start a video editing career, probably you should spend less on your video card.. and use pincale or sony vegas... then kung maka grasp naka sa ideas on how video editing works, diha na tingali ka mo invest.... like buying a Matrox Parhelia and RTX.100... this is probably the best video editing hardware for pc that money can buy. (err... we have our matrox stuff at the office about 3 years ago, probably d na tingali karon... ambot unsa nay bag.o =))
for more on matrox products >>> www.matrox.com
Matrox RT.x100 performs well for DV editing.. 2 layers of video + 4 titles in realtime (naa nay color correction, 3d fx applied). Realtime capture to m2v for dvd authoring, etc.
Anybody wanna buy my card? Im selling for 40k hehe.. Compatible sha sa Premiere Pro 2.
Yes, you get block noise if you use VCD format as output. What I do is capture with DVD format which is much finer and clean, then convert the file to VCD with TMPGEncif I plan to burn it to VCD. This is the cheapest way to convert analog video sources to digital.Originally Posted by flashfreak
If you wish to make a career out of this, well, that's where high end Matrox and Pinnacle video cards come in.
nindut man magbusiness ug ing-ani mga bro sa. bisan naa lang kay 3 ka pusy nga maka capture and convert videos. wan-a money na!
