hey guys... i've been tinkering with my grandpa's Canonet and recently bought a Holga. On my readings here on the net, I always come across what they call as "negative scans" wherein they scan the developed negatives and have them saved on a cd. that way you could have a soft copy of your photos and the luxury of choosing which ones to actually print. thereby saving more money than having the whole roll printed.
so the question... do we have those kind of labs here in cebu? mind helping a newbie out? =))
CzAr|nA: yes we do have those kinds of labs. Most photo labs have negative scanning for 135 film or the ordinary film that you see in most photo labs.
With your holga, which uses a 120mm film or medium format, you can go to Studio 125 and look for James Go and ask to have your 120mm film scanned. I think he's the only one that has a medium format film dedicated scanner here in cebu.
Or you can buy a scanner yourself if you plan to do this workflow often.
Nikon Coolscan V is a nice one but a little bit pricey or get a Canon, a lot cheaper.
nice... thanks for the info guys! appreciate it... =)
