Actually, the topic presupposes we have "uncontrolled" population growth and that we are "overpopulated". Both are questionable.

Our population has been controlled for quite some time! Our growth rate has been slowing down for decades,. Our Total Fertility Rate (average number of children born per woman) has dropped from around 7 to a little over 2.5. That's a drastic drop in just 50 years!

If it keeps up, we face economic slowdown, population ageing, and mayeb even de-population. Those are things our economy is not prepared for.

Overpopulation is a myth. The real causes of poverty are greed, corruptipon, war, injustice, and bad goverfnance. We have all those in abundance in the Philippines. Population growth has nothing to do with poverty.

Philippines has a population growth of 1 million pinoys per year. If we cant support 85 million today, how much more for the next 5 years??

From the word alone too much..tendency would be YES.....its like saying irresponsible, uncontrolled contact with his/her partner which would have a high risk for unwanted pregnancy..... :8O:

filipino's attitude toward *** is not something negative or wrong. if people start entertaining this kinda thought, our families would be the first one to raise their eyebrows.

it's not the lack of information. it's misinformation. anyone heard of the birds-and-the-bees story or the one-eyed snake? adults don't seem to know how explain *** to kids. if we are to teach our youngsters, we should start in their formative years, that stage when they start their sexual awakening, not when they're in high school and at the peek of sexual curiosity. that kinda attitude has been the overriding color of many filipino parents' attitude towards *** when it comes to their children.

recently, my friend and i had been discussing about "rounds". a pack of condom usually comes in 3's. what happens on the 4th? 5th?? 6th just can't get enough you baby, eh?
