I've tried a few small firms in PH.. Namely Astang, PhilHosting (which sucks), PhilWeb and Dreamcode.
Out of those four, only Dreamcode provides good technical support. Gary and Netgeek really knows what they are doing. I think they are also monitoring their tickets even when they're at home, I used to receive emails from them even after office hours.

BGSAWebHosting.com - Affordable, Rock Solid Web Hosting

I think this is a VPS not Dedicated. and may i know the specs of this server?

Semi dedicated Boxes are not VPS. They are not given with root access. Semi dedicated boxes are used for High traffic sites usually or for high perform or loaded sites to be hosted on a dedicated server with low cpu shared with multiple people. The key difference between semi box and VPS is, vps limits the server with CPU and Memory while semi box allows the user to have full cpu and memory at any certain time, though equal share is ensured.

You can always check server information after purchasing it. A VPS will never have the following configuration:

Intel Dual Xeon Quad Core 2.66 GHz (12 MB Cache)
    4 GB RAM
    10 GBit Internap Premium bandwidth

    Have nice day...

The 1tb hard drives are in raid 1 with our own vdr with softlayer. You need to purchase a full rack throttle before being able to order such with softlayer.

Most importantly we are connected on 100 Mbps Unmetered Internap Network. Unlike FDC, Softlayer doesnt issue any Shared 100 Mbps Unmetered Connection. Its fully dedicated onboard switch. Monthly transfer is approx. 40 TB

Second, here is the ip of our actual server: 208.43.100.51

    Try to traceroute...

let your clients do the review.

anyhow, these hosting firms are not having its DC in Phil. they are just resellers of the major player in the hosting industry which are based in the US (where hosting is very cheap). i doubt if there is/will be any good hosting companies that are based in PH, we don't even have the resources/facilities. eg. - no DC with the likes of liquidweb bluehost and 1and1; where it has multihoming gigabit connection, upstream providers connected to tier1 backbone and etc.

    ok thanks.

before i moved on to hostmonster i tried a local host, Astang.

    Astang buanga.
    Astang paita.
    Astang dimalasa.

I don't know if the have improved but during that time i subscribed to them they have encountered many server downtime issues. My website lost 2 weeks worth of data and they sent email to their subscribers saying sorry for the redundant incidents and promised to give one month free as pahalipay for all the worries they caused.

Mao to tagam na ko, i got hostmonster a US based company.
Personally speaking, wala pa tay dakong capacity diri mo-host locally.

You might wanna try www.EntityServers.com- serving the Pinoy Webmaster since 2005
    Been here since May 2005.
Check out our website uptime statistics through this link:

    Uptime Statistics/Ranking-Shared Servers Category

Been serving to local companies here in Cebu since 2005.
We have just re-launched our site and we WILL be on our 5th year of service starting May 2009.

It's not just choosing which is the cheapest.
You should also look for the uptime performance of the servers.

    Best regards,

Hmm, thats too expensive for you, i think you should try semi-dedicated full-managed hosting.

Semi dedicated boxes are used for High traffic sites usually or for high perform or loaded sites to be hosted on a dedicated server with low cpu shared with multiple people. semi box allows the user to have full cpu and memory at any certain time, though equal share is ensured.
