im using Prolink 5200 Huricane modem, then Linksys WRT52G2 Wireless-G Router..standard man cguro 192.168.1.1 im using glode broadband...

ok naman ako connection infact nka gamit nako ako notebk using wireless internet..
but could somebody here give a little discussion about Wireless Routing thing..? why is it na lain ang isp sa modem ug sa wireless router mga bro?

isp sa modem and router? di ba usa ra jud ang isp (internet service provider)? if pasabot nimo is ip address, dapat jud lahi2 ang ip addresses (or default gateway for modem/router) para madistinguish apart ang mga devices. mao ang akong pagsabot. i could be mistaken.

namroblema sad ko sa pag setup sa among wireless connection sad sa una. similar problem, dili mu work if via cd ang set up. ISP: Globe, modem/router: Prolink, and wireless router: Linksys wrt54g. Akoa kay akong gi change ang ip address sa router to 192.168.1.254, para madistinguish itself from the modem which was using 192.168.1.1. no work to cya. aw, I also had to change the setting sa linksys from "router" to "gateway."

Dili man gyud dapat magka pareha ang IP address kay mag conflict na sila. Just short discussion,

ISP IP address: 24.132.32.443 (mura ni siya ug address nimu sa imo balay, wala gyud ka kapareha)
Router IP address: 192.168.0.199 (ex. school campus :: like by department lahi ug LAN IP address pero pareha ra ug WAN IP address)

Hinaot unta nasabtan ba. hehehehe

other questn, bro...mo matter ba if under sa ipconfig, ako i set ang ip routing to "yes"..kay murag ang default kay "no" man..ako sa gtry ug enable..dnt knw usa sad to nka effect..

you can actually assign any ip address ta imo router basta naa lang sa local network anyways your computer and other devices nga mo connect sa router dapat naka obtain ip address automatically para ang router ra nimo mag assign sa ip niya

Bro dili gyud kaayo ko kamao ani bro, pariha mig problem sa thread starter. naka palit kog linksys Wireless-G Home Router same model karun wa gyud ko ka install bro, pls bro ug naa kay matabang naku pahibaw-a intawn ko. salamat!
