I don't even know why these officials waste their time on this matter instead of focusing on more important issues at hand and besides changing seals, street names etc etc would only contribute in losing our identity, heritage and our rich history. as the saying goes "onli in da Pilipins"... it's just sad..

A tourist calls a Cebuano friend for help; he was getting lost somewhere downtown. The friend says, “Calm down, walk to the nearest corner and tell me what street you’re on.”
But this doesn’t happen here. You can’t be sure of finding a street name where you are or a name with more meaning than Mango or Apple.
If you’re taking a ride on a street that’s new to you, your tendency is to look at the life in the side streets, then the street name next.
Or if you, as native of Cebu, get to see a street name and it’s unfamiliar, you know you’re looking at one newly installed in the flurry of street-name changing among legislators the way they split provinces or barangays.
