bai kitty si tope gusto ka? talented ni na pet
i just wanna ask. why breed red eared sliders when you could just buy one? i mean, sa states ug australia kai gi-discourage ang pag breed ug mga RES kai daghan na kaayo sila. they even break the eggs.
daghan kaayo taw mupalit sa pet store not knowing the real needs of a red-eared slider, nya mangamatay ra diay. instead of going through the trouble of breeding them, why can't you just save one from the pet store?
dba? sori, nag-yaw2x napud ko.
ang kana baligya sa petshops kay bago pa na sila na hatch? kanang murag 5 peso coin bah.
you got a point there bai, pero as stacy-gurl said "nature took its own course" When you keep animals in top condition you cant stop them from breeding...they will breed. Besides, ok raman i breed exotic species as long as you dont release them out in the wild...which is highly irresponsible. I hate to say this pero humans as we are have what we call "Noah's ark syndrome" we want to be little Gods and breeding is the ultimate manifestation of this so called power.....in short.....lami kaau ang feeling kung maka breed......i've bred these turtles a lot of times and some other turtles as well.hehehei just wanna ask. why breed red eared sliders when you could just buy one? i mean, sa states ug australia kai gi-discourage ang pag breed ug mga RES kai daghan na kaayo sila. they even break the eggs.

you have worthy concerns bai leo, admirable to say the least. But if we look at the bright side, these experiences by the inexperienced hobbyist will teach them a lot. Some may realize what you have realized about the shops, some may realize otherwise.....but it all gives the novice hobbyist a lesson at the stake of the RES babies and maybe it will soon have a positive turn in the long run. I personally had the breeding of the res as a stepping stone and a benchmark for the breeding of much more endangered species like the Leyte pond turtles which are in dire need of help. But since i cant risk experimenting on the endangered ones, i rather used the prolific and opportunistic species like the RES.
