Bro, ganciang na ang imong nakiot-an dili na ang siloy. Itom ug mata ang siloy whereas ang ganciang kay pula. Mao nay atong makit-an diri sa Cebu labi na sa Plaza Independencia ug City Hall nga magpanon. Mao ni picture sa siloy.

@jackdi - sorry to tell you that the bird you are referring to is not the 'siloy' also known as Copsychus cebuensis but the Oriental Magpie Robin. Yes a lot of people mistakenly identified that as the 'siloy', because this bird produce a melodious sound and could even imitate the sounds of other birds but the song of this bird is practically different when we were allowed to hear the real siloy song during the 3rd Philippine Bird Festival at Waterfront Hotel last September 2007. Another thing, practically, ang siloy doesn't have a white color. Practically all black gyod ni siya including the eyes.


The 4th Philippine Bird Festival was at Puerto Princesa, Palawan last September 2008. The main theme is JUST WATCH DON'T CATCH.

I hope this book could be distributed and sold in bookstores. The bird at the right nga black then dunay red sa breast is "managoto" which is very abundant here in Brgy Sapangdaku which is a mountain barangay at the back of Guadalupe Church. Naay gamay nga kahoy diri nga wala nako ipaputol kay kada buntag daghan kaayo na sila nga mangaon sa bunga. Enjoy gyod kaayo mag birdwatching.

seldom ra kaau makit-an ni nga bird,bisan sa Alcoy(nug-as) panagsa ra kaau ni nimo makit-an kay pili-an kaau ni silag time nga mugawas.even mostly taga alcoy wala pa gani kakita ani nga bird.if muadto mog Alcoy,mustay jud mo for pila ka days didto then if swertehun mo makakita mo ani na bird.then mo ask pod mo ug permission sa mayors office para mutan-aw ani nga bird kay ang forest didto nga gipuy-an ani kay off side sa brgy. nug-as which is 25 km from the national highway nya ang forest kay daghan nagbantay nga taga DENR,maglisod mo sud didto if way guide and way permit.trust me! taga alcoy ko and naa pod mi yuta didto sa nug-as.honestly,wa pa ko kakita ani eversince na bird.
