@softtouch_ph: That just costs too much... Does pldt have a php1900+ per month plan?? Do you think it's better than Globelines' Php1900+ package? (All 384 Kbps)
Forget it... just found out Globelines BROADBAND sucks dirt. Phony bastards.

    Default Globelines BROADBAND/ADSL question

I have Globe (Would have wanted PLDT) but I use PLDT for the other stations. Last time I checked, Both companies have the same basic package - 1900+ per month (PLDT gave in) . But Globe is cheaper with the phoneline. PLDT is good with performance - but expensive monthly on the Landline.

Sometimes I notice globelines speeds drop when I run a speed test. PLDT seems to be stable but it also dropped (But it was network error so that doesn't count) on "rare" occassions - and both companies call us when we report an anomaly to ask if its fixed. They seem like nice people.

    just tried the bandwidth meter

    GlobeQuest Bandwidth Meter
    Your current bandwidth reading is:

    359.54880 kbps

when i got my globe dsl last year it read 7.4mbps when i connect now its just 384 kbps and i noticed it kinda slowed down...

I have pldt dsl and get on both lines 800+ kbps.
Better try http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp and http://www.broadbandreports.com/, they are more reliable...

if you're having a problem with PLDT's technical assistance/service... then they might be very busy with some other clients.... just keep if followed up.

I even have speeds of 1.3mbps on the bandwidth check on my pldt mydsl. Globe dsl has a maximum of 384kbps on their 1995/month while the 1995/month of pldt is 512kbps. 2,500 for the 768kbps and 1mbps for the 3,000 package. And still keeps on improving the speed. I heard that they will be upgrading the 3,000/month package to 1.5mbps soon.
