Traditional and Digital animation lessons anyone?

Pero I believe one should have above-average skills in static sketching/drawing before one should tackle animation. The only aspect of animation I'm interested in is not the animation per se but giving characters life through gesture drawing and how to fake "physics" so that I can draw believable static
drawings.

@ares623: Cartoon Animation (The Collector Series) by Preston Blair used to be available in National Bookstore. The only ones available at National Bookstore are the "uncollected" series (kato mga nipis pero dako na Walter Foster books). You can find it in the Art section.

The Animator's Survival Kit is available in FullyBooked (Manila).
