^^^Actually walay value ang puthaw karon kay nahugno ang market sa scrap. And "carplate" commands a cheaper price than regular steel. Besides, restoration is primarily the purview of the true enthusiast, not those with beat up cookie cutter cars on their death throes, kept together by Bondo and a prayer. Those who don't get it, will never have anything nice to say. If the car is of value to you, then by all means show your passion.

What needs to be done? What is your endgame? How much is your budget per month? What is the current condition of the car? Got pics? This will be a medium to long term project, so follow through is important. PM me if you want, I could pass on some of my contacts to you if other forumers can't help.

    best regards and good luck!

^^^Exactly! Not all real enthusiasts are rich, nor can all of them afford to keep or restore vintage cars. But they do anyway, because that's REAL passion made manifest. They will spend untold amounts of cash, blood, sweat, and tears just so to get their cars they way they want it, not because they want to show off, but because it's the right thing to do. Pride of ownership is only secondary to sheer joy of ownership, and the knowledge that you are somehow doing your little part in keeping our automotive history alive. Passion has no snob appeal, you can spend oodles of money on a Trabie and we'd be just as happy for you as we would if you were restoring a Talbot.

Please, let us share our knowledge, not our ignorance. There's been too much of that going around already.
