I beg to differ, we Catholics believe it is not symbolic in transubstantiation. It is the actual transubstantiation. But I commend u for mentioning the becoming of the body and blood of Christ.

It is the true body of Christ. It is NOT A SYMBOL. It is the body of Christ AFTER THE CONSECRATION
Unfortunately, communion in the hand is a sacrilege.
The true communion is through kneeling and receiving it in tongue.
Only the priest should give the body of Christ.
The Roman Catholic Church teachings nowadays are degrading after the Second Vatican Council.
True priest are those traditionalist priest (before the second Vatican Council). Unfortunately, there are few of them only.

    A message from Mama Mary

“My Son is not pleased with the
manner in which His Body and
Blood is being given to all of the
    humans upon earth.
“Communion in the hand has not
been, and will not be accepted by
Heaven. This is a sacrilege in the
eyes of the Eternal Father, and must
not be continued, for you only add
    to your punishment when you
continue on in the ways that have
been found to be unpleasing to the
    Eternal Father.”

    Our Lady, June 30, 1984

^^^Bro, is that message authenticated by the Vatican? If not, then please turn a deaf ear and a blind eye to those kind of miracles.

I dunno if it is authenticated or not. It is hard to authenticate the messages these days because of some evil/bad priests (freemasons who secretly enters the church)
Kung kabalo lng ka sa state sa church karon... how degraded is the Catholic Church today. Smoke of Satan enters the church. Please read the revelation.

I agree with you in this one. IT IS just not a symbol
The liturgy of the Eucharist the most powerful ritual of the holy mass
Ironically, after several liturgical workshops, I never really understood it until
I learned Wicca ages ago...that it is indeed possible
At mas na-understand ko how it is possible for Jesus to give his life up for our sins...
In the "energy" level...as what the new age parlance call it...
In Wiccan rituals, one has to use up energy for another...aka energy exchange
Jesus gave up his own flesh and blood...in exchange for ours
That is the greatest ritual of all time...greatest energy exchange any Master has ever done out of love
Sa paganism...walang concept na forgiveness...it's just pag binato mo, babalik sa iyo ng three times
But when Jesus came...dito na-highlight ang Christian concept of forgiveness
the one that separates us from all other religions

So what happens in the liturgy of the Eucharist sa mass?
In my understanding...we relive that moment over and over again...
First transubstantiation..or in new age, they call it energy transformation
is the turning of the bread and wine to the body and blood of Christ
since Jesus offered literally his flesh and blood to us..because he was the lamb being sacrificed
And we literally "ingest,""eat,""take it in" our body
    Second energy transformation is
the body and blood of Christ in our bodies ...turning to an energy that is taken up in our spirit
    Third energy transformation is
the transformation of our spirit like that of Christ

This is one of the things that made me return to Catholicism
    Namaste!

so in EUCHARIST ceremony held by priest is it the body and blood of Christ?
is it "from" the body and blood or Christ or is it "from" bakery and store?

    Peace!
