Word of caution: your laptop may not have XP drivers at all (for wifi, video, etc.). Make sure you search for XP drivers for it on the manufacturer's website before doing any downgrading to XP.
Vista, for all the criticism that has been thrown at it in the past, is now significantly better, due to the release of the first Service Pack for it. You may want to make life simpler and stay with Vista, but that's just IMHO. Just make sure you have at least 2 GB of RAM. 1 GB is a bare minimum for Vista, and anything less than that is not good.

Your copy of Win XP might not have the SATA drivers that your laptop uses. If that is the case you must look for the drivers of you laptop's SATA interface and use the program nLite to integrate those SATA drivers to your Win XP Boot CD.
nLite: nLite - Deployment Tool for the bootable Unattended Windows installation
^^ Best Advice EVER!!!! As Visual C# said go to the laptop manufacturer's website and MAKE SURE that naa ang mga Win XP Drivers para sa imo laptop before you try to install Win XP. Also burn those drivers to a CD, in case needed siya after you finish installing Win XP on your laptop.
In some cases ang manufacturer dili mo provide ug Win XP Drivers so as to force you to use the Windows Vista that was packaged with the laptop you bought.

Then YES, lisod gyud mag install ug Win XP ana sir, since it apparently uses the Intel 965 Express Chipset. Did some googling and i found out that it has a SATA interface na released way before ni-gawas ang XP. In order for Win XP to boot you must "re-master" your Win XP Installer CD using nLite in such a way that ma include na ang drivers for the new SATA interface in your Win XP Installer.
Hope that helps.![]()
