I was "diagnosed" as INFJ in an online personality test I took a year ago, at the behest of a friend who was trying to make sense of my irrational behavior kuno. I don't put much stock on these tests though.

I've just stumbled upon this old thread. I'm an INTP with extreme preference for intuition and thinking. I thought I needed to work on my extraverted sensing because I'm not generally attuned with my surroundings. It turns out that extraverted intuition can adequately compensate for it as well as with extraverted feelings too. A downside (as viewed by an SJ) is that intuition causes me to disregard existing rules and hierarchy.

"rules and hierarchy" -schnell! these are made to be broken or changed or else we stay stagnant. i'm with you, bro! though, it won't hurt us intps to pay attention to people and to get in touch with our emotions. i used to hurt ppl with a carelessly worded observation. i'm glad i have ppl who care enough to point out my mistakes
i do have problems with sustaining an interest till kingdom come. y'see, if i'd studied and researched on a subject to my satisfaction, i usually abandon it or i get so freakin' bored, like "yeah, been there, done that" kinda thing!

Yepp. I often hurt people with truthful observations too, so I learned to temper my words with positive words when it comes to relationships.

Sometimes, I become the bringer of bad news because I'm the only NT in the group that has the balls to criticize that the system (I work in the IT industry) is broken and architecturally flakey. Our culture is dominated by xSTJ people, and those who rock the boat are not well-received...
