Kobe is overrated because most people think he's better than Lebron James. (^_^)v peace.

Lebron is great team player and has the most impact to the team and unlike Kobe - he pass first then shoots later. great players make their team better like lebron and wade (unlike kobe).
(^_^)v peace again. Im an Anti-Kobe.
he holds a lot of NBA milestone achiements plus he's still under 25 years old. he's only weakness? free throw.

These are the guys i think are overated

    at point guard
hmm definitely marbury - Overly praised but doesn't have any contribution to the team.

    at Center
Yao - too tall but doesnt rebound much. he score yes, but being the tallest guy that cant even rebound or block is IMHO overrated. plus he gets injured year after year.

    at small forward
I think think it's ron artest. much like mini-kobe, who thinks he's the best player in the nba and he whines a lot.

    at power foward
err... not much. but in fantasy leagues it must be elton brand. he belongs to the top 10 overall player "must-have" considering there may be some set backs and the risk- i do believe is over rated.

    at shooting guard
Kobe? a lot of people are still asking "who's Lebron? d ba si kobe ang best player?" is overly rated kaayu.

other than these guys, if Lebron is overrated, he's least overrated guy next to the guys above.

Kobe? he's a good player but i think over ra kaayu siya. murag exagerated ra.
other than kobe, i think its Jamal Crawford. In most games - he shoots a lot and miss a lot.
Shooting guard are suppose to be the best scorers.

    FINALLY!!!

    I COMPLETELY agree with you...

    Take a bow...^^

You might get flamed with your post and I know many would get pissed when you diss "The Rapist" because some people out there only knows no other Baketball player other than Kobe Bryant tsk tsk tsk... Ika-nga, "Si Kobe ra nailhan ky mao man cgeg nadunggan, nabasahan ug nakit-an ky overrated lage"...

Yep, he might had won the MVP and bought the Lakers to the Finals last season but not after years and years of 1st round exits after Shaq left LA, not to mention all the whining and b****ing of wanting to get traded or getting quality teammates... It is as if Lamar Odom and Caron Butler is not good... Now give those teammates to LeBron and you would know what I mean...

LeBron has surpassed ALL the expectations thrown at him at the age of 23 and yet people call him overrated Geez...

These players are what I call OVERRATED:

    1. Carmelo Anthony
    2. Tracy McGrady
    3. Vince Carter
    4. Andrew Bynum
    5. Yao Ming
    6. Stephon Marbury
    7. Gilbert Arenas
    8. Elton Brand
    9. Baron Davis
    10. Jamal Crawford
    11. Eddy Curry
    12. Jermaine O'neal
    13. Dirk Nowitzki
    14. Ben Wallace
    15. Ron Artest
    16. Rasheed Wallace

    Player that I admire...

    1. LeBron James
    2. Tim Duncan
    3. Chris Paul
    4. Dwayne Wade
    5. Amare Stoudemire
    6. Steve Nash
    7. Paul Pierce
    8. Dwight Howard
    9. Jason Kidd
    10. Chris Bosh
    11. Deron Williams
    12. Carlos Boozer
    13. Rip Hamilton
    14. Gerald Wallace
    15. Josh Smith
    16. Shawn Marion

LeBron is the MOST TALENTED and GIFTED physical specimen in the NBA and the maturity and leadership he has shown at such a young age is incomparable... INCOMPARABLE... 6'8 and 250, yet he moves and handles the ball like a damn guard! That quickness, court awareness and brute strenght is like Magic Johnson on crack!

Comparing Kobe to LeBron when the latter was 23 is like comparing Kevin Garnett to Tim Duncan... NO CONTEST at all...

He deserves all the hype and the media attention because he is that damn good!!!

Do I think he is better than Kobe Hell yeah! You can credit Shaq's guidance (not to mention sheer dominance!) for those 3 rings...

Just watch when LeBron peaks in his mid twenties...

Better than Jordan? Not yet... But at 23, I bet MJ ain't this damn good... Keep in mind though, Jordan didn't get his first title until he was 28... Kobe is already 30 and he has yet to prove that he can win one without the "Most Dominating Big Man Ever "at his side... Even with talents like a former-allstar in Pau Gasol and the Lakers' scapegoat Lamar Odom...

Bron was able to carry his team to the Finals at 22 without any help (Z is past his prime already!) and last season, he bought the Celts to the limit, even scoring 45points in game 7 and you call that "no clutch"

Magic won his first title at 20 but he had Kareem already scoring 33ppg in the playoffs at that time...

I think it was Bryant who choked in the Finals... Remember his performance in Game 6?

All he needs is a good supporting cast and a reliable second option (I'm thinking of a Brandon Roy, a Josh Smith, a Richard Jefferson, a Joe Johnson, a Manu Ginobili, a Luol Deng... Those guys that won't mind playing second fiddle, and could give 20+ pts on any given night, unlike The Rapist...)

And yet for all his brilliance, I have never read or heard of LeBron dissing or bashing his teammates unlike what Bryant did to Bynum when the Bynum-Kidd trade didn't materialize...

He didn't b**** about wanting to get traded of blaming the management like how Bryant pressured Jerry Buss on making something happen... What a demanding-egostistical prick!

No off court antics, no fines, no suspensions... What he showed in last season's 1st round playoffs againts the Wiz when that jealous idiot Deshawn Stevenson tried to psyche him out and his reaction to that hard foul by Haywood was a class act...

If LeBron won't win the MVP this season, it could only be Dwayne Wade or Chris Paul...

Yes, he is a little bit full of himself... But when you are that damn good, can you blame the King of Akron?

Lebron James jumps from High school to NBA.. while Jordan attends college.. kay ang rules sauna dli mn ka kasulod ug NBA kung dli ka college level, unlike now na pwde na high school ma draft sa NBA.. Jordan era is different from present (James, Kobe, Wade and etc., era)

I'm not comparing Bron to Jordan because Jordan is indeed a whole lot better than Bron is at the moment based on acheivements and the mark he has left on the game of Basketball and how his influence globalized the popularity of the game...

Unlike others who disgustingly fantasize and blasphemously preach that Bryant is better than Jordan... Yuck! Illusyonados...

But think of it though if LeBron attended college? picture out the maturity he would had gained and the experience ala Tim Duncan...

Scary... (Yep, Bron's face is scary as hell too...^^)

    Watch this:

LeBron James' 45pts vs Pierce&Celtics Game 7 Playoffs 2008 - Truveo Video Search

No clutch? No outside shot? No defense?

At least he put up a fight againts the Celts all by himself without an Allen Iverson, a Yao Ming, a Pau Gasol, a Jason Kidd, a Paul Pierce for a teammate... What the hell did Szczerbiak, West, Jones, Gibson, Wallace, Ilgauskas do? Watch until they reached orgasm in delight from watching LeBron's brilliance? LOL!
