I think one is, they want to make history. 7ft for 3pt contest, 5'9 for the dunk competition.

Uwaw baya to sa part sad ni Nate na kadaghan sya ni-attempt, pero wa man sya gi-stop sa officials so he tried hard to complete his dunk.. Ka-Igoudala between the legs powerslam, was just too basic for him. I think mao ni ang factor.

Any ideas why that happened?

one of the judges (RHS of Kenny of TNT) raised a "10" after Andre Iguodala's dunk but he put the card down for a second and when he raised it up again i guess the "10" fell on the table and instead a "9" was raised up and thus making Nate win by 1 point instead of a tie.

on another note:
if you noticed Dirk's last shot (colored ball=2pts.) in the qualifying round, the red light "turned on" before the shot was taken. the guys at the TNT booth replayed it a couple of times and it was very clear that time ran out before the ball left Dirk's hands. but the thing is, there's no "replay" in the 3 pt contest and thus moving Dirk to the second round, who then eventually won the whole contest.

who said life was fair? not to Iguodala.. and surely not to Arenas..

Life is unfair and its evident on those two events, the 3-point shootout and Dunk contest.

Both winner are not deserving. I don't know with them but the win is meaningless 'coz they got them through those means. Dirk's shot shouldn't be counted in the first place and not suppose to be in the next round. Nate's dunks were not as impressive and difficult even for him. ^_^

The Contests (3pt and Dunk) was so controversial and so lousy. ^_^ They're right though. This is history. The Most Controversial All-Star 3pt shootout and Dunk Contest ever. lol Give it up for them. Hahahah

naa sad oi... he fell short though. and to think, if he pulled out that first dunk he did and didn't cross the line, he has the chance to compete for the final 2. it's impossible to say "way dungog" because he has the perfect windmill everybody has ever seen.

It's just not his day. Maybe the judges are looking for something even more.
