well, from what i've gathered: -R if u want to make dvd movies and the likes to maximize compatibility with most dvd players esp. older ones. +R if you're going to make a dvd data disc coz it has a better/lesser error factor. me, too, can't see any difference right now but that's what i'm doing since. so far so good, knock on wood.

dili na cya mo matter kay ang mga dvd writer karn can read and write both dvd+r and dvd-r. unlike before nga ang writer gani for -r kinahanglan -r pud imo dvd same with +r

when you write a dvd video format on a blank +R it automatically converts to -R book type. mao mabasa na sa commom players.

one thing good about + over - is its ability to switch book types. but data wise, its better to write on a +R. although i dont see
any difference on - & + if its written with data.
