i think Lewis in his prime will win against Valuev mainly because of skills, technique and speed. Lewis is 7 inches shorter but they have basically the same reach at 84-85 respectively.

(HBO) James Toney (69-4-2) vs. Hasim Rahman (41-5-1)
(WBC Heavyweight title)
it wasn't a memorable fight.
Scoop: Heavyweight Jungle still without a Ruler
By Scoop Malinowski
"Lennox Lewis could come back and beat both of these guys without even going to the gym."
"There's no one causing excitement like a Mike Tyson."
"It looked like a sparring session, like they were just fighting for the money."
These were some of the comments heard after watching the competitively interesting though unspectacular Hasim Rahman-James Toney WBC Heavyweight clash on Saturday night.
The fight didn't live up to the pre-fight hype but it was still a good fight. There were lots of punches and very few clinches from two talented champions. But compared to aesthetic classics such as Lewis-Tyson, Bowe-Holyfield, Holmes-Shavers and Douglas-Tyson, Rahman and Toney fell short.
And so the heavyweight division is still in quicksand. We still have not found the man who will rise up and assert himself as the king of the heavyweight jungle. Rahman and Toney were very good and put on a crowd-pleasing tussle but neither was able to establish his superiority over the rest of the field. And it appears a safe bet that neither will.
There are three candidates who have the potential to dominate - Lamon Brewster, Wladimir Klitschko and Nicolay Valuev.
All that the heavyweight division, and hence the overall sport, needs is what it's needed for the last three years - we need to see the right fights made to establish one true recognizable heavyweight champion.
