Hmmmm... Guess I'm still a beginner since I still deal with GT. Truth be told, I don't find Malvin to be arrogant. Dugay lang mu tubag sa txt or ym...

hi guys long time no log in here. busy sa work. hope mag conference nasad balik. others naman si bert sige offline. haha anyway, ga RC ko ron.. drifting. its really fun coz i get to open the stuffs i bought. hahaha.

IMO, greattoys is not actually for beginners.. the inventory they have is just awesome. para nako ang pang beginner is best-toys because of their location and the kind of toys they have.. greattoys though have exotic stuffs. and you cant locate GT in greenhills if dili ka collector. greattoys prices are actually reasonable. other stores lang sa iyang tapad would price match. lets say ila ubson og P100 so mulabas gyud og barato ang tapad nga stores. disadantage to malvin coz he has a lot of branches and he's not on a specific branch all the time. pero if timing ka he is in that branch, he gives a really good discount. well based on experience malvin is a good guy to talk too. actually tanan taga manila is ok. but personally mas mu prefer ko mupalit sa patricks toys (ptoys) kay mao lagi na mu price match sila if they know the price sa tapad is like this then ila ubsan gamay.

ang diri sa hobbyshaft most of their toys came from the US shops or great toys. i would sound bias if i say something about hobbyshaft but most of the people i know had a really bad experience there... ended up quitting the hobby. like this one time a friend of mine went to his store and paid P1000 downpayment for a particular item. the next day he went back with the rest of the amount to buy the stuff.. he was informed that the item he reserved was sold.. but that wasnt it. he was told that they wont refund the money he deposited and was simply asked to choose another toy. a real bummer...

@miguel04: Does that mean that you guys sometimes pool money together to buy toys in bulk? If yes, when do you guys schedule pooled orders? How do I join? I assume I need to (1) meet you guys one of these days (2) pay in advance to gain your trust, right?

@yoncha: I do order stuff online (books, DVDs, mountain bike accessories for my wife) but I haven't tried toys yet. So far, I think most of the toys I'm looking for could be found in Manila so I don't think I need to yet but just in case I can't get over an itch (you know those 'I gotta have one of those NOW moments').

@visionarymadman: Bai, daghan nako nakit-an online toy shops but it might be good to know where you get yours during those times I can't join your pooled orders.
