Learning to type frees your mind from having to think about your typing. When typing comes naturally, your thoughts just "flow". Touch typing is very helpful especially when navigating via a terminal.

Actually it depends how you manage your codes.
"Memorization sa kada keys para dili na kailangan mag-duko then tan-awn sa monitor. "
Naka try namo gamit ug japanese keyboard?
Ok rman ang alpha keys pero ang uban sus lahi jud ug mapping.
At first kay dugay kaau ko makatiwas ug code, mangita pa sa "&';+: etc. hehehe

that's stupid... does anyone here can code programs with 65wpm?
When my codes disappeared from the repository during release i hoped i can type faster than my normal speed. I experienced the need so i say so.

codes disappeared from repository during release??
Seldom problem I encouter is just during the release of repository some class path disappear but this is due to some build orders, the file is written in XML format which involves cross checking on our versioning system, but not on the file where we use to place our actual codes.
Okay! Disappearance occurs! But this requires a careful investigation, and checking the previous unaltered files. Comparing them, putting things back to normal… rather that showing your incredible 65wpm of typing skills.![]()
OMG...OK OK...
to answer the TS's question...
as a programmer i code and document my code for our japanese counter part.
so it would be better if typing is just like breathing air to me to focus on logic (i guess thats the logic behind touch typing).. hehehe..
talking about productivity. two programmer with the same skill in programming but the other is a touch typist and the other is not. common sense tells me the touch typist can be more productive. (in my opinion)
PS. Im not a 65wpm typist. but i just think it can be helpful and once again this my opinion so can share your own without firing at other people's opinion...![]()
OK opinion accepted peace![]()
