@clips, i think you have to take into consideration several things.

    1. your address and the address of the school. it is better if it is near your home or office or at least, a one-trip ride.

    2. your budget. it's not just the tuition, you know. more expensive schools means more contribution and generally, more expensive schools means that the parents are wealthier and their kids have more gadgets, more fashionable, etc. Less expensive schools can also give an adequate education and training. But more important, it's your constant follow up that can make a difference. take it from me, I am a mom.

    3. Your hopes for your children and a realistic appraisal of your children's abilities.

in looking for a school for your child, you should first consider if your child is ready for school and more importantly, if the school is ready for your child...

gone are the days when you only had a handful of good schools in Cebu City... nowadays there are plenty of alternatives to choose from...
you should look for the best fit for you (budget, proximity to home/ work) and your child (type of education: traditional, montessori/progressive type)

if you know your child's strength, weaknesses, and temperament (quiet/active, passive/ participative, introspective/ bodily kinesthetic) you will have an easier time of choosing what is good for him/her
