    download Opanda IExif 2.0 then install on your PC.
    to view the total no of shutter actuations, just right click you latest picture to view the exif.

    Downloaded it. Still can't see my total number of shutter releases but I remember that it's still around 15,000 shutter actuations since November 2005. There must be something wrong with my trigger finger. Too slow.

    I viewed my D40X in Flickr.
    Usually my pix shows all exifs details.

    hmmmm, l agree.
    there must be something wrong with you trigger finger, more than 2 yrs w/ 15k??
    or maybe the cam was only used in special occasions?


    btw, on your raw file (raw or jpg), when you view the exif using the software, check the maker note.
    you can find the Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera.

    my latest:
    Date Time Original = 2008-02-15 18:56:07
    Total Number of Shutter Releases for Camera = 40730

    so sad in my case
    only our service center can determine the shutter release of my a100
    opanda and other cant determine the count.

    mine since Nov 2006 (d80) is 27,329! Not as trigger happy as TwinJet...

    so, how do you determine the no. of shutter releases for Canon & Sony?
