for pure firewall. i'll bet with iptables, but if you want easy configuration and more add-ons go on with the firewall distros.

iptables and the know-how to use it is enough for most people. A lot of firewalls out there are just front-ends to it anyway.
pfsense with squid+dansguardian package.. the best firewall I have ever used so far..
Multi-WAN feature mao nay wala sa uban monowall.. pwede ka maka load balance using 2 or more ISP bro
ok unta ang pfsense, pero magkadugay molikoy dili stable, labi na ang proxy/squid/loadbalancer. So far akong na try nga stable loadbalancer kay ClearOs combined with IPCOP as router/firewall/proxy/urlfilter/layer7Blocker(Torrent etc..) og daghan pa nga addons. I've tried almost all opensource software firewall, so far these two works for me.
sa ubuntu nga site ni ingon man sila nga build in ang firewall and anti-virus...

iptables are basic firefwall, in ubuntu they have ufw o UncomplicatedFirewall naa puy GUI niya GUFW.... in anti-virus, well linux is not 100% free but only few known virus exists in linux, but if needed jud you can use ClamAV, it is also available sa windows...
do we really need firewall and anti-virus sa ubuntu? na paranoid na nu.on ko dah.. hehehe.. but I still feel safe sa ubuntu even if it's out of the box
