IMHO, yes mo-matter ang school kay supposedly sa school na kuhaon nimo ang training. it makes me wonder unsa diay gamit sa mga eskwelahan karon kung sa trabahoan na mangita ug training ang mga estudyante para mahasi kuno? wa ka mahasi sulod sa 4 years sa college? specially since you are from UP ingon ka sa PM. heck, give me a book kay more than enough na kaayo na ang 3 months to study it. samot na kung 4 years nga study.
as an example, sa akong experience, way java pag-college nko pag-1990's, wa jud na uso ang java 10 years ago diri sa cebu. ako ray nag-train sa akong kaugalingon. you can do the same.
remember the main reason why you are looking for a job... to work not to train. if you think your training is not enough then go back to school (slowest) or you could just train yourself (fastest) or magpaabot pa ka sa company nga i-train ka?
now ask me again kung mo-matter ba ang eskwelahan when it comes to training?
Hahaha..sakto ka darkhero..4yrs ko nag callcenter but when i got back to programming job wlay lain mu train nako except my self..though VB.Net sayon ra kat.onon ... still reviewing my Java.. daghan tutorials diha ang books.. especially american firms, they prefer sa kanang naa na experience sa work kaysa kana ila i train, dli ka nila i train for your skills but i.train raka nila sa product specifications
@darkhero, salamat kaayo sa englightenment sir, your sentiments serve as a motivation and I appreciate it very much. Para man gud nako sir, as someone nga wa kaayo naexpose sa industry (fresh grad) medyo naa juy difference ang school and work. Business rules pang daan. I want to train for that, and most likely I cant train myself enough for that, or can I? I really dont have an idea. As for the programming training itself, ang companies man mismo nioffer ana sir so why not choose the best out of them
Nevertheless salamat kaayo sir.
ako bro taga accenture ko, dagkhan people initiatives diri, pero so far, here sa cebu, ang mga nindot na company jud is NEC, Accenture, Lexmark, NCR, Alliance, IBM, Kyochera. depende lang jud na nimo jud bro, ang mga jap companies gwapo ila training kay grabe sad ila work.. ang mga american based company mas lax.
Mu puno lang sad ko, I used to work in Alliance, maka ingun jud ko nga if gikan ka alliance ba-id jud kaau ka sa experience kay dha pinaspasay jud ang projects. In a year daghan kaau ka ma handle nga projects, nya if ma swertehan pa jud ka ipadala ka sa projects ipadala ka ug japan, or i.outsource ka sa IBM, NEC, Lexmark, not sure if naa pa bay outsource sa Kyocera, pero before mu outsource sila sa epson man which is kyocera na karon.
@janmuy, salamat sa insight sir, mustart jud sa guro ko jap
@moonwitchbleu, salamat pud sir! when man ka nakadecide muhawa sa Alliance before sir? ngano man sad? tungod sad sa work load sir?
if you mean training as technical programming advancement, i think you will learn this best by yourself. companies will most likely not invest money and time just to teach people purely technical stuffs. some companies train their members about discipline, professionalism, project management, proper reporting, etc. you are lucky if the company offers this since you do not gain these skills and knowledge by just reading books.
accdg sa akong long time friend who works in Alliance as a programmer,
Accenture jud daw.
Kyochera hahaha...wrong spelling wrong!
