Here's an interesting suggestion:
Every programmer has the right to surf and browse whatever they wish with no restrictions. Privacy! :P
Every programmer shall NOT work for companies that cannot provide these rights.

is there like a programmer's club or organization here in cebu that i can join? or a forum for cebuano programmers where we can share our ideas and stuff?
Pero bro.. I think almost 60percent of our population was not able to exercise these rights.
i dont mind working in any condition as long as pay is good ($60-$100k)...
i'd buy my own workstation.... but the problem is low pay plus worst working condition...
para lang nako sa, kung 60k-100k ako sweldo, magtigom nalang ko para, e palit nako sa akong mga kinahanglanon
like the Two Monitors, Graphics Card pa nga mo support sa two monitors
Comfortable Chair, keyboard and mouse
Sagdi nlang kung saba ang working environment, ma bawi raman sa imong kusug nga PC, kay mas productive ka basta kusog
sakto sad baya ang internet connection, duka kaayo basta hinay
ipa basa ko ni sa ako boss..
but of course don't forget the basic..
Every programmer should learn to value the real meaning of CTRL + S.
Or :wq or C-x C-s, whichever side of the editor war you're in. I agree with the "bill of rights". Too bad it's rare to have someone have a $60 - $100k salary range here in the Philippines. =)Originally Posted by miss tapya
bro how would 2 monitors increase productivity...?
I'm using two monitors, two keyboards, two mouses, and 3 CPUs in my desktop right now. One is running Gentoo Linux, and one is running FreeBSD. It really improved my productivity since I can run applications that are only Linux or FreeBSD-specific. I often use the Linux box for viewing real-time logs and for accessing my development VMs' shell. I also use it for IRC and YM. The FreeBSD box is for coding and for viewing the front-end. The third CPU is a small Soekris box that I'm using as a hub for the two CPUs. For running Windows applications, we have Windows 2000 and XP servers that we can remotely access via rdesktop.Originally Posted by Tin_Tin
