unsa imo pasabot sa imo "promiscuous mode"?, via VM?, kay if host, na-a man gyud na, dayon..., wala man ka hisgot unsa imo gamit sa imo VM?, virtualbox or vmware or etc...

# airmon-ng start wlan0

ang wireless okay raman ang wired, Broadcom 43(something something)... ako pasabot kay monitor mode diay, dili promiscuous mode (or parehas rana sila?) sorry newbie pako gud

if wireless man gali dili 'compatible', adto nalang sa ato mga local computer repair shops, then scout for 'good compatible' wlan for your needs A.K.A. "atheros" chipset based wlan cards...

Monitor mode ug promiscous mode dili man pareho.
Monitor mode is simply monitor. Mabutang nimo imo wifi radio on monitor mode maka sniff siya ug mga packets/traffic bisag wala ka nakaconnect sa AP. Sa Promiscous mode, while connected sa AP makasniff imo radio ug packet/traffic bisan ug dili nakaaddress nimo.

Afaik dili tanan radio naa capability ug monitor mode. I was having difficult and without success on my UBNT radios (Atheros chipset) activating the monitor mode. Nag flash ko ug firmware to Open-WRT ug Gargoyle pero dili gihapon siya maka monitor mode. Without that mode para nako limited kayo gamit sa imo radio. I think the USB types are friendlier as what i found with the Alfa's.

BRCM ako nic bossing, for now ni settle nalang kog gamit og usb adapter, ma himo raman sad nako ako dapat himoon pero mao lage, naa say lain issue nga every few minutes mo disconnect siya if mag net ko sa browser, nabantayan nako if mag update lang ko sa linux dili xa ma DC

# iwconfig wlan1 rate 54

usahay mo work usahay dili, wa pa nako ma isolate ug unsay naka cause ani... sige ko og update sa linux pero wala man
