    For Ubuntu, just use the build-in gedit, it displays http code quite nicely. No need for FTP software either, just click on place, connect to server.

    Why not try Ultimate Edition (Ubuntu) Live DVD? It has about half a dozen html editors. Maayo nang matry jud nimo without installing.

    pero pinaka-the best kay kinghanlan kantigo ka mogamit ug editor sa cli para flexible ka, bisan nano lang gud (syntax highligting naa pud siya; man nano for more info). then kung kulangan ra nimo ang nano, proceed ka sa vi.

    last try nko sa notepad++ under sa wine (1 year ago?), buggy iyang regex search & replace, wa pa pud to multiline regex support. ambot lang kaha run kung native na ba sa linux or ok na ba ang regex niya. wa pa hinuon ko kasulay niya padagan sa windows ^^

    comparable ra man ang geany ug notepad++ pero di lang ko komportable kung kinghanlan pa ug wine para modagan, mangatol akong utok hehehe.

    firebug can edit html but cant save, it use primarily to debug website with it's dom inspector, thats why it's called firebug = firefox + debug

    try ninyo Komodo Edit, uses the application framework as firefox ....

    firebug is for DEBUGGING ONLY..
