i dont have time to read... i have a lot of things to do.... if infraction and warning have the same meaning, the word warning can be understood to all.
IMO, Infraction and warning are not totally the same. Yes, in layman's term infraction is a simple warning. But when we talk about consequences, a warning has no point accumulated. Meaning, it is just a "heads up" that you've done something wrong at Moderators' discretion. While infraction is ought to be a simple warning in the sense that you gained point for every violation committed. And if this violation is persistently acted, this will lead you to get muted or banned. But infraction and warning are not limited to these as both are handed out at Moderators' discretion that's why you've noticed that they are not obliged to warn before handing out an infraction. Or sometimes you'll be banned immediately. It merely depends on them.
I say change it to warning....
Thanks to Dondon for Infractions 101
and to the TS for posting this...
why change the term? can't we just adopt the term INFRACTION?
if it's changed to "WARNING" would it matter?
since the new term "WARNING" will still cost you points..
