I have a lot of friends who are doing freelance job for years. It really depends on how dedicated you are towards on your work. It doesn't mean you are working full time in an office based job you have a 100% stable income. As I've said it really depends on how you perform your job even if you are a freelancer or working in an office.

mostly ang mga clients mangita jud na sila mga sample sa imong mga works.

Ako masabi ko lang sa nimo create connections sa freelancing world. I'm not that established yet. Umpisa palang din ako but yun yung madalas sabihin sakin friends ko. Be good at what you do and create connections.

in short dili 100% stable ang freelance programmer... mas maayo trabaho sa ka as a software developer then sideline daun ka kung lig-on na imo knowledge sa language, dawat ka projects like internet cafe monitoring system, inventory system, and pinaka daku nga project og dako pd nga kwarta ACCOUNTING SYSTEM, ENROLLMENT SYSTEM og dako pd nga ORAS imo gamiton. You should work on your sideline after your office tasks, ie: work at home, work on weekends. and don't sacrifice your primary job. and last but definitely not the least --> dawat lang og sideline kung gaan imo work schedules, or finish na imo previous sideline project (bug fixing nlng, maintenance ba..)

Dapat naa kay portfolio bro. Labi na if imo field kay php .. daghan kaua ka competenxa ana.. I'm not discouraging pero mao na ang reality. I say, e-master imo craft pag apply sa ug company and learn sa ila system.. then study latest technology cloud computing AWS and Azure.. 2-5 years from now.. sayon ra 100K per mmonth nimo if ma master nimo ng cloud..
