This alone says a lot about T-Mac's overwhelming potential & talent..

Kobe Bryant says T-Mac is the toughest player to guard | Lakers Nation

During Kobe Bryant’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the five-time NBA champion was asked which players in the NBA were the toughest to guard. Kobe named a few of the usual suspects like Allen Iverson, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant, but then said something that surprised a lot of people.

According to Kobe, the toughest player to guard during his time in the league was Tracy McGrady. Although Kobe modeled his game from Michael Jordan and has received comparisons to arguably the greatest player of all-time throughout his entire career, McGrady challenged the future Hall of Famer more than Jordan did.

not surprising. T-Mac was really a b*tch to guard. the man has incredible range. he was probably a better three point shooter than Kobe.

Tracy had a good career during the early to mid 00's. real shame about his injuries, it robbed him of many opportunities including a Hall of Fame selection.

the only player that rivaled Kobe in the 2000's.. in his prime I think he is equally as good as Kobe,

and the only reason why kobe is better than t mac is the defense department...

parehas mangtas basta clutch situation na,........ sayang kaayo nabali sa iya prime years along with yao.. they could have both won at least 2 or 3 championships together...

thanks for the memories T Mac............

calibre, yeah, but he doesn't have the achievements that Sampson has. Sampson reached the Finals, otoh T-Mac never won a single Playoff series he played. even with a good team in Houston he could never elevate that team and take it deep. that is going to hurt T-Mac's HOF chances.

T-Mac was a pretty good defender back in his Toronto days. he was actually the defensive specialist in that team, but when he moved to Orlando he was being stretched thin and had to do everything, so his D took a hit. as far as Kobe is concerned, they're equally good imo, but Kobe's work ethic, longevity, and mentally is what puts him above T-Mac, AI, Ray Allen and VC. iirc T-Mac said he wasn't a practice player. he practiced, but he wasn't into it.
