para nako mas maau na lang ning life sentence kay sa death penalty aron mag antos sa gyud ni sila hangtud sa ilang kamatayon ba kaysa patyon hinoon ug dali....sama ra ug wla sila nagbayad sa ilang(mga convict) gibuhat kon patyon dayun ug dali....

funny why do we have a law that is not meant to be implemented at the first place why just scrap the law so not to agonize people who are hoping for justice to be serve according to the law personaly i dont like death penalty but law is law and the law says henious crime should be given the death penalty and the president has the perogative to give reprieves, commutations, and pardons...its a judgement call in the end ..

you answered it yourself, because the law is the law and that is a provision in our law. the presidential powers of the commander in chief is the panic button just in case that's why this provision was made. the decision could be political but it is good that we have this provision so that everything does not need to be reviewed by the senate, worst the congress because it would become "more political". the president has the power to suprsede a supreme court ruling. of course she can because these justices are presidential appointees in the first place.

personally, regardless of the personalties involved, there is wisdom to this provision of the law.

if i am not mistaken even mere governors in the U.S. can stop an execution.

..while we say its a new hope for these convicts, this could also be a denial of justice for the Chiong sisters.

i hope the chiong' s will have justice and peace of mind anyway the suspects are already convicted its just the implementation of the death sentece and nightmare possiblity of commutations of sentences and parole..

many of us who dont like the death penalty in favor of life imprisonment ( for me solitary confinement in jail forever) will not really understand cause were no victims lozy maybe if our boyfreind or girl freind will be GANG RAPE anD killed IN fRONT Of us by A bunch of punks or someone we love so much will be brutaly murdered ... etcc... willl release the ANImal within uS.......... and take justice in own ways


maybe we go beyond logic we will not just kill the rapist killers with our own hands or the Perpetrators of the henious crime for vengence maybe you go crazy and kill everything from the criminal to the criminals family not just the whole family but the killers cats and dogs too the house burn the criminal's house too and put salt on its lot too and curse everything why the hell this happen to you just like dracula when her poor chick was killed ngeek this is pure insanity or what
