I'm happy to report that four years after I first started this thread (June 2009), I've finally written a very short story about my great grandparents. The clan had a reunion and I felt it was fitting to have the ancestors' story read. The good thing was that in the reunion I met older relatives who were also into tracing the family tree. They're much older and I consider them the clan historians.

Interesting about my paternal's family is that their great grandmother had a lot of children from different men but never end up marrying one of them. According to her, she doesn't need a man in her life, she only wants a lot of kids in her household and ONLY her father's name will be used on every child she has.

No wonder dako kaau amo clan... taga sulti nako sa ako family name, gaghan dayon mo-ask, "parente mo ni so and so..." hahaha!

I love my great great grandma's stories, quite a treat! A true epitome of a strong woman who knows what she wants!
