LL P5E is a rediculous flashlight. Yes, it boasts long run time but for a flashlight as big as the P5, it's lumen output is ridiculously low. Mas maayo pa nga nag himo sila ug dual output nga P5, instead of two different models with different outputs. I can't imagine carrying a P5 for high lumen usage and a P5E for low lumen use.

@ghostie2472 - what can you say about the new LL F1? Is it good compared to the Olight S10 baton? What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

Got my Olight S10 Baton earlier at AlphaSource, they also gave me a 5.11 Tactical Lanyard, which is really cool. Thanks AlphaSource!
For your question, I don't have an LL F1 but I have had the chance to get up close and personal with it. Here are the pros and cons I have for the light. Please note I'm not an expert and gi base nako ang mga pros ang cons based on my preference.
PROS:
-Assault head/bezel
-400 lumens for 1 cr123a battery
-it has anti-roll features
-It has light modes, 15%, 100% and strobe
-They use Cool White CREE LED as opposed to Warm White CREE XL-M LED.
-It has a pocket clip but can be removed
CONS:
-Fixed focus, the F1 doesn't have the signature LL feature, the Speed Focus.
-Body is really "slim" as opposed to it's anti-roll and head size. This makes the light, in a way, "different" in all the LL products.
-Ridiculously thin rubber switch, it will tear apart really fast it exposed too often to water though the light itself is IPX8 rated.
-Since they are still using the standard CREE size, the spot is relatively smaller if you will compare it with the S10 which uses the XM-L CREE, the Speed Focus should have compensated for the user to choose the Flood mode when needed.
-Price. Forgot the exact amount but I think it's 3,200+ pesos or higher as opposed to S10 that's only 2,200 pesos. 1,000 pesos for just 80 lumens difference.
THOUGH S10's switch is a rubber one, like the F1's, the S10's switch is much thicker and I believe they (AlphaSource) will be selling replacement rubber switch soon.
Thanks ghostie2472. I myself have tried both and here are my thoughts about the 2 lights as well:
a. Built quality:
- LL F1. Just by holding both, the F1 presents greater durability and sturdiness on the overall material.
b. Weight:
- I am very particular on weight since I am considering these 2 as EDC lights. So Im giving this to the S10 Baton. A great EDC light due to its compact design and very lightweight. The weight of the F1 is tolerable but if you compare it to the S10, you could sometimes wish they could have done something about its weight given its small size.
c. Battery:
- Tie. Both flashlights uses 1 CR123 battery.
d. Lumens:
- LL F1. 400 lumens.
e. Beam options:
- Tie. Both are fixed beam.
f. Price:
- S10. The LL F1 exact price is 3,290.00. While the s10 is only 2,200.00
g. Button:
- LL F1. On this one, we had the opposite impressions on both flashlights. I thought the button quality of the F1 was way more superior than the s10. I also like the button placement of the F1 compared to the s10. It was harder for me to get a better hold of the s10 while simultaneously turning the flashlight on compared to the taillight button of the F1. The small size of the s10 may have played a factor of the awkward gripping.
h. additional features:
- My preference would go with the taillight magnet of the s10 rather than the anti-roll and assault head/bezel of the F1 since I think I would be using that feature more.
i. Light modes:
- s10. I gave this to the s10 just because of the moonlight mode. Perfect light inside the cinema.
================================================== ============
I also tried the s20 baton today at AlphaSource when I bought an s10 for a friend, here are the features:
- 470 lumens
- light mode goes from low, medium, high in repeating sequence as compared to the s10 that goes from low, medium, high - high, medium, low. It also has moonlight mode.
- Strobe has 2 types: fixed frequency strobe & frequency conversion strobe
- has a free red traffic wand head
- uses 2 CR123 or 1 18650
- magnetic tailcap
- uses XM-L Cree LED
- Low voltage indication: the bottom side switch will shine in red, when the power is low. s10 doesnt have this function.
- The S20 also restores the typical Olight "soft lock-out" (which was removed from the S10). If you hold the switch down from On, after three cycles through the output modes, the S20 turns itself off. It cannot be turned back on until you rapidly press the switch three times. This is a soft lock to prevent accidental activation.
For only 2,900.00+ Not bad for a 470.00 lumens flashlight.
By the way ghostie2472, what made you change your mind and bought the s10?

@jayz
@ghostie
nice input there
is there a possible way that you can compare the actual light output on fresh battery for S10 and F1?
thanks in advance
I was supposed to buy the i6 Paladin but since I have already bought an LL P7 2nd Gen (the one with the thick rubber switch) a pocket EDC would be a nice addition to my light arsenal and since there are no other lights that uses CR132A and have lumen output over 200 lumens aside from the F1 and the S10 readily available for purchase, I chose to buy the S10. Had LL upgraded their M1 with higher lumen output, I would have bought it right away.
I would agree on the durability and sturdiness of the F1, it does feel sturdy and durable. Though the S10 is rated to be impact resistant at 2 meters, the main board doesn't have a spring to buffer the force of an impact since the battery is smacked right on the circuit board unlike the F1 that has a spring on the inside of the light.
The S10 is not ideal for those who have slightly big hand or thumb as the switch is really small and it doesn't have a "tactical" feature, while the F1 has a bigger button. ONe thing I noticed on the S10 is that the beam is medyo may pag ka orange gamay ang iyang beam though both i1 and S10 uses the same emitter, XM-L, medyo naa sa cool white side ang i1 and warm white ang S10 is you compare the beams side by side.
I have confirmed with AlphaSource also that they are selling replacement part for the rubber switch of the S10, in case it gets torn apart due to wear and tear or abuse. I'll ask Solingen later if they sell replacement rubber switch cap for the F1.
