In my humble opinion, i think this is the right move because LVL is more qualified than layug et al... LVL has better track record having designed airports before...

^^ Would have been more believable if it were the original LVL and not his son/namesake. This is more about the way the designers were dropped from the project. They could have been at least acknowledged. At any rate, I hope everything is transparent, otherwise, kadudaduda ang gibuhat ni Roxas.,.

dili tungod kay sila ( LVL ) ang original designer sa airport, mas qualified sila. as what eezychair said, namesake ra ang lineup sa LVL karon. then ato sad i-consider ang trend, ang panahon, mas mu fit in cguro ang creativity nila kenneth. pero wala pa sad ta kakita sa approach sa LVL, basin mas mu fit in sad ila design/concept.

anyway, ang issue kay ang sudden change sa lineup, ... Basin walay kickback if pro-bono? , Poor_Prince23

@eezychair and 1722: the reason why i said that Leandro V. Locsin Partners are qualified is because they have technical experience in designing airports. They did the original naia and the new davao airport. No offense to cobonpue but he is not a licensed architect and i dont think he has any experience designing airports.
In the issue of the sudden change by the government, if cobonpue et al has a contract with the gov't then they should just go to court. If wala pa silay contract then wala silay mahimo.

^^ You may be right about LVL's experience in designing airports. My opinion though is that at this day and age, technicalities (that is engineering/architecture) may be done after the design and aesthetics. In building a house for instance, the owner usually gives directions to the architects and engineers who merely put the technical side of the construction that the owner approves of if it goes with the 'look' that he wants. As another example, Kenneth is not an automobile engineer but has designed a 'green car' and this was admired by many. I may be biased as I know Kenneth is a Cebuano though. But his designs are simply awesome. Can't help but associate this with Imperial Manila.

On the other hand, I believe Kenneth et al do not have a contract. Theirs was just the word of several Cabinet members whom I feel are impressed with the works of the group. Nevertheless, I also don't think LVL has a contract yet. What Roxas did is so unprofessional I've completely lost respect for this guy.

The ironic thing is, the airport was named after his dad. It is now a part of his dad's legacy yet ok lang si Abnoy na babuyin ito.
