Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 Grand Finals is Top Trending Topic on Twitter Worldwide

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 Grand Finals is talk of the town not only in the Philippines but worldwide last weekend.

ABS-CBN’s reality talent competition–Pilipinas Got Talent–became the highest trending topic on Twitter worldwide at one point last Saturday and Sunday.

Last night alone, June 26, after the results show of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2, not only the hash tag #PGTgrandfinals captured the no. 1 spot but 4 other PGT related terms made it on the Top 10 Trending Topics on Twitter Worldwide. These terms are “Congrats Marcelito,” “Grand Winner,” “Freestylers,” and “Jovit Baldivino.”

In the Philippines, #pgtgrandfinals also captured the top spot (and it’s still there until early Monday morning of June 27). Other PGT related terms that made it to the Top 10 were “Congrats Marcelito,” #happyfeet, “Freestylers,” “Aiai,” “Bruno Earth,” “Freestylers,” Jovit Baldivino, and the Cebuano heartthrob “Jem Cubil.”

The term “Pilipinas Got Talent” also captured the no. 1 spot in the Top 10 most-searched term in the search engine Yahoo! Philippines for the same period.

Because of the show’s success in both social networking sites and the ratings, ABS-CBN has decided to continue with season 3 immediately beginning July 9 after the airing of a two-part concert episode featuring season 2 grand finalists this weekend.

grabe kato pag finals night...halos tanan ni kanta pulos yabag or wla sa nota, even Jovit had his bad performance that night.

I don't watch this show kato ra gabie nga na balhin nko ang channel....but na shock lng ko atong comment ni Ay2x ug ni Kris sa katong contestant nga Guapohon nga ka duel nilang Aiza, nga bagay daw sa iya ang song ug nindt ang performance....WTF?!?!? maski balik balikon to nko ug tan aw it is very clear nga wla siya nka memorize sa lyrics and wla siya sa tono nag kanta igo sa siya nag kaskas sa guitara. These judges don't know what they are saying.

by the way Jem Cubil is my cousin, and i know it was not an easy task for him and all of those contestants who joined.
