for A/C: the 1300,1302,1500, and possible the 1200,vw engines are capable of having A/C.,
for the parts, it is easy to find,. since we have shops here that could provide you the parts u need for the bug., and
a good beetle unit now a days, with AC would most probably cost you not less than a hundred thousand, unless if it is really detailed interiorly and exteriorly, watsover,. then it'LL cost you obviously about over a hundred thousand pesos...

personally, since i'm still a school boy, i've learned to appreciate and really took extra value of the beetle since the time we bought it until now. honestly. i am a big Car enthusiast and i really love customizing cars with all the available resources in the modification world,
i love the beetle compared to the 90's or the 80's modern cars for a reason that i admire the unique look of the car,(turlte look) hehe, and is truly strong in terms of the body and engine considering its a vintage car..., more over, when you have the beetle customized to its extent, i tell you,.,really!!! it is so beautiful, and for me, it really makes a big difference among all other cars,.,

Good day to all VW lovers!

I just want to know how easy or difficult it is to maintain these old school beetles that we still see on the roads. My questions are these:

1. What are the pros and cons of owning one for daily driving compared to modern cars (e.g. 90s corolla/80s boxtype Lancer)?
2. What models are capable of airconditioning?
3. How about parts? Are they easy to find?
4. How much should a good unit cost with A/C?

That's it for now. (Ihas pa jud ko mga bao, so pasensya na.

none i could think off. biased man ko para sa volks.. hehehe

2. models? maybe engine types. 1200-1300 could be A/Ced with multicab compressors.. 1500-1600 are good choices for A/Ced engines. Dont forget to upgrade your Alternator to at least 75 amps to get good current for your A/C and other electricals.

3. There are around 6 auto supplies you can go to and get your parts here in cebu. if not, then there are a lot in manila catering our volkswagen needs.

4. it price going these days would be around 50k. but if you go treasure hunting, then you could get it even less. way down less.
