@pranix, kung outdoors dpende na sa imong piktyuran.

kung sports itaas lang gyud ang shutter speed (1/100 up) para ma freeze nmo or kung gusto kag naay movement effect down ang shutter speed.

kung portrait gani nya di ka mogamit sa built-in flash ayaw ipa luyo ang hayag sa likod sa taw kay dark na ang front. adjust lang nga at least 45degree ang hayag ng igo sa imong taw. nya pwde ka mogamit ug any white board for reflector padong sa subject i bounce.

I usually use A mode for casual shoots like small gatherings and general shoots. I use M mode when strobing.

S mode kai more on motion capture, if you want to freeze a moving subject or panning or if you want a motion blur epek.

A mode kai pang depth of field control

M mode for complete control of settings and for creativity.

P mode never tried it mura ni cya ug Auto mode

Murag gamay ra jud tingali nigamit ug nikon d3000 diri kay gamay ra man kaayo ni post.
Bag-o pa raba ko palit d3000 dah.
Master Mike, wala man jud nako masulbad ang kahinay mo display sa picture inig human ug capture... around 2-3 seconds jud mo display sa screen ang gi capture nako. I don't know if this is normal with nikon d3000. Segi pud nako format ang memory card pero mao ra man japun.

Mga bro, kung naa moy shooting session, palihug pud post diri sa schedule kay basin makakuyog mi. maayo nalang makat-on pud tawon.

try to disable ADR kai naka basa ko sa kng kenrockwell na site (Nikon D3000 scroll down to ADR Problems) it takes 3 sec. to process the image kng naka on ang ADR/ADL.. try turning off ADL (Active D-Lighting) function

mga bro, since newbie pa tawon ko, okay ra ba kung A mode akong gamiton permi? went to a christmas party in Parklane hotel and began shooting pero di man kaayo impressive ang pictures. specially shooting the building. A dial akong gamit then off ang flash. ISO set to 800. medyo okay ra man ang pictures pero not impressive.
