One more thing, a lot of local moralists (or people who support the conservative agenda) in various barangays have been sending letters and messages to the CAIB to do this, and that. In fact, one of my friends in Guadalupe sent her mother's letter addressed to the CAIB, and her mother felt that "a lot of immorality continues to happen".

If it comes to that, then a legal showdown could happen.

Let's see if the CAIB can convince the court.

Come to think of it, CAIB raided stores for selling men's magazines like FHM. Why can't they raid sellers of condoms? They can say they are doing the moral and decent thing. They can say that condoms only contribute to the lifestyle of promiscuity, which they can say lead to AIDS/HIV, immorality, etc.
FHM is a legal publication. Why is that they are raiding stores selling FHM? Its my right to read whatever I want.

Someone told me this news story from years back - when asked by a local news reporter why do men's magazines (FHM, Maxim, etc.) keep coming back to stores in Cebu despite the raids of the CAIB, then chairman Bullecer blamed Tagalog people for bringing them back.

To this day, that allegation has not been proven. No evidence, no witnesses, nothing.

I don't know with you guys but does Cebu City really have a ban on FHM, Maxim and other magazines that share their sexy content?

I wonder if those CAIB raids in the past were in anyway legal.
