@Chip, do you have a portrait shot using your sx10 is? i want to see how shallow the DoF is. Also, curious, what's your new camera and why shift to dslr?

hello!
quite funny but i dont have intended portrait shots(in 3mos time) with this camera. seems i dont into portraits yet but this below should suffice your query:

as for my idea to come up with it, its more or less same with any dslr, set to macro for dedicated portrait, play along with zoom, and with full manual manipulation. dof is still subjective to aperture size. i even produced once a bokeh with a subject of a flower.
new camera? you dont want to know^^ this camera supposed to be more than enough for my needs and the huge versatility it can offer not to mention its image quality is great, but a relative of mine forced me to the other side.

@Chip. I want to get a new everyday camera to replace my powershot a710 IS. I'm planning to get the SX1 IS kay its about the same price naman sa SX10 when you mentioned it in your ealier posts in this thread. I don't mind the extra noise when compared to SX10 IS.
Still curious about your move to the other side and which part of that other side you landed on. hehe

pls don't be^^, plainly i am just forced to switch to(even though i don't into it really and i can't afford to maintain such high costs of the other side, im poor^^) due to someone likes me to and helps me financially.
as for your everyday camera, i bet SX1 or SX10 is more than that^^

mao pa ni akng ma contribute sa akng canon powershot sx10 is, nagpractice pa ko... walay lingaw shots... resampled na ni cya to 500 pixels para dali ra ma view...
