.. but why can't they see it?? are they blind or just acting blind?? as if the offense of gma is that dire. those tapes were also illegal, wire tapping is the best form of " invading privacy".

.. why can't we all just get along.

"why can't we all just get along."

the impeachment is not merely an avenue to oust GMA, it is also GMA's ticket to clearing her name kung wa gyud siya'y sa... to some tingali igo na nga niingon siya wa siya'y sa... to others kinahanglan man gyud maestablish nga wa gyud siya'y sa with supporting facts nga makawa sa effect nga gida sa Hello Garci tapes...

wire tapping is illegal, naa man nuon gyud kuno na sa balaud... pero what if katong sud sa tapes tinuod gyud to [what if lang sa ta kay wa pa man gyud ni naklaro], ato na lang i convince atong kaugalingon nga di to tinuod tungod lang kay illegal ang wire tapping?... tingali wa pa sad gyud maklaro nga si GMA guilty, sige pa man sad gyud sila deny, pero wala pa man sad gyud tingali siya maklaro nga innocent gyud, wa pa man sad gyud sa na maklaro... therefore, aron ang mga taw nga wa kasabot makasabot, iya na klaruhon in the proper forum, which is [tingali one way ni siya among others] through the impeachment proceedings... kung di pa gyud sila kasabot pero naestablish na gyud nga wa gyud siya'y sa, lain na sad nang storyaa... besides, unsa may kahadlukan ni GMA kung innocent gyud siya?...

pwede sad moingon nga mausik lang ang kwarta sa mga taw... aw, kwarta bitaw na sa mga taw, gigamit aron makahibaw sila unsay tinuod... tingali it's not a waste at all...

we all know who will replace GMA when she is ousted... Noli... have a problem with Noli ask GMA why she chooses Noli as running mate.

waste of money? how we call also the fertilizer scam? money in good use?

.. but why can't they see it?? are they blind or just acting blind?? as if the offense of gma is that dire. those tapes were also illegal, wire tapping is the best form of " invading privacy".
oh it's illegal, right! but why is it that not even a single person is charge of that wire tapping?

when do you call an offense dire? You are given the main duty of protecting the rights of every people now you are charge of cheating offense in an election? That's one of the basic rights in a democratic country? I know you are not playing blind, coz i believe your common sense dictates you that by just listening to the tapes you can say it's GMA and Garci talking about cheating. You just see CHEATING in an election as a dire offense.

.. why can't we all just get along.
we can all get along... but again there are issues that should be tackle correctly. Yes Jacks is right, an impeachment is not only the venue to oust a president... it is also a venue to clean her name.

"why can't we all just get along."

Its not a simple getting along thing. A crime has been committed. An impropriety has been committed by no less than a person who claims to have the mandate to govern.

All we asked is an explanation and accountability coming from a person who is answerable to the people.

Before a government could move on and get the support of the people, it must show that it had clean hands. How could you inspire people to do good for their country when their country is run by a usurper. A usurper have no good motives in mind except to promote his or her self interest.

Early end to impeach bid looms

Discussions on the impeachment complaint against President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo will likely end this week as members of the House strive to focus on equally pressing concerns such as the evacuation of Filipino workers from war-torn Lebanon and the escalating prices of fuel.

The swift resolution of the impeachment complaint was predicted by members of the majority after Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Barbers, chairman of the committee on accounts, gave his assessment on the minority’s bid to oust President Arroyo.

Reps. Eduardo Zialcita of Parañaque and Rodito Albano lll of Isabela, former vice chairman of the committee on rules, said the statement of Barbers was the strongest indication of the waning support for the fresh impeachment case.

“Rep. Barbers gave a practical assessment on the fate of the second impeachment complaint,” Zialcita said. “He was relaying the sentiments of his constituents, which complement the position of our own constituents. Hence, we should do our duty and accede to the people’s wish for impeachment to be resolved swiftly.”

Zialcita and Albano said Barbers expressed the real sentiments of House members and their constituents versus the propaganda of die-hard proimpeachment lawmakers, which has no basis in reality.

Zialcita said it would be the height of insensitivity by lawmakers if they prolong the discussions on the impeachment complaint and lose track of the immediate concerns of Filipinos.

“We still need to evacuate the remaining Filipinos in Lebanon despite the United Nations-backed ceasefire. We should also attend to the problem of unabated oil price hike which adversely affects our daily lives and activities,” he said.

Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. and Majority Leader Prospero Nograles foresaw an early demise for the impeachment complaints, stressing that the minority bloc led by Sorsogon Rep. Francis Escudero, lacked the most important thing of all—numbers. The 51 opposition congressmen who voted for last year’s impeachment were predicted to be reduced to only a little over 20.

“So I told them, if you do not have the number, then why pursue this?” Nograles said.

Albano, meanwhile, said he agrees with Barbers that it is such a waste of time to be tackling another impeachment complaint that contains rehashed charges against the President.

“We are completely satisfied that the House committee on justice’s voting on the sufficiency of form the impeachment complaint is over and the panel is about to tackle its substance. We urge the committee to expedite resolution of the complaint so the House can have more time to pass pending urgent legislation,” he said.

... oh, so the opposition is being self righteous again.

    what do you mean
it must show that it had clean hands. How could you inspire people to do good for their country when their country is run by a usurper.

.. are you pointing out that only the president has dirty hands?? please, you dont have to look very far to see corrupt officials cause they are everywhere. especially the opposition.

A usurper have no good motives in mind except to promote his or her self interest.

.. and you think the people behind the opposition has plans for the betterment of the country?? i guess not, they also have their own private agenda that they want to materialize once Arroyo is ousted.

.. and just read at grabehbebe's post, here's a very important line:

.. that's what THEY ( senators and congress ) SHOULD do.
Stop with all the politics and focus on progress.

... oh, so the opposition is being self righteous again
aren't they all being self righteous? isn't the administration claiming that they are the only people capable of running the country? that they have done anything wrong?

.. are you pointing out that only the president has dirty hands?? please, you dont have to look very far to see corrupt officials cause they are everywhere. especially the opposition.
they all could have dirty hands... but the main point here, is that it's GMA who was caught and should answer the issue. That's the main point of the impeachment. Coz wrong doing is not a one way sreet, they are all capable of doing it, that's why we should not give priorities on who should answer the allegations.

.. and you think the people behind the opposition has plans for the betterment of the country?? i guess not, they also have their own private agenda that they want to materialize once Arroyo is ousted.
as i've said before this people could have different motives in mind... but we can't tell for sure, but one thing is for sure, there is an issue. but it's not automatic also that when arroyo is ousted it is the opposition who will take over, it's NOLI, now again if you have problem with Noli, ask GMA why she select Noli as VP. Now if Noli is to take over and the opposition charges him with that of the Garci tape I will not be in favor with it anymore, coz we all know that it was only GMA and Garci on the tape.

There are issues and issues should be answered if we indeed want to move on.

.. then what?? we'll start back at square one with Noli, this is the very reason why the philippines wont prosper. Always starting at square one.
i'm going to ask this question again and again coz i really can't find relevance to this impeachment:

what will this impeachment trial bring to our country??

.. you have quoted my three statements but you never did quote the last one
