"for short its unfair man gud sa niagi, how I wish nga wala pud mi niagi ana, pero its part of the requirements........

if you call it unfair for you bay, and then you wanted it to be implemented again so that the younger generation can experience what were the hard things you experinced before. isnt it like a payback? mura ka ug gusto animalos sa mga bag-ong tubo..

wala jud gnahan. and do we really have to conform with it tungod kay requirement siya? i dont think so. we have lot of options to make pressure so that this move of the AFP not to materialize.

FYI the proposal was only to make ROTC compulsory to state colleges and universities.why worry kung ipabalik ug compulsory ang ROTC na human na man kasagaran sa inyo.ang angay mabalaka katong motake pa.for private schools optional lang man gihapon.

the reason why they wanted it to be compulsory is due to the decrease of ROTC cadets (the source of reservists) with the advent of NSTP.even there is CWTS and LTS there are still a good number of students who wanted to take ROTC in private school yet the program is either repressed by anti-rotc school administrators (some with leftist background).

there's an increase of women freshmen taking ug ROTC.nangtalaw na mga laki ron ibuwad sa init?

NSTP is a good program.the defect is with the people running the program.

The ROTC program should not be made compulsary in any college or university. It should be a choice and not enforced.

Let them military wannabes take part in exercises on their own time. Why am I worried about it? Simple, I don't want my children forced to do something which they don't think is right.

Not that I am afraid to be under the sun. Heck , I've been under the sun with a live gun going in front of me as I follow him run through the course. But it is being under the sun for reasons which are not to my approval which is why i despise ROTC. Well, at least it is one of the reasons why I despise ROTC.

It teaches the officers and cadets to be corrupt and how corruption can alleviate even the simplest of inconvinience. The cadets are forced to take this to become part of the military reservists, but not all of them want to be a reservist, not all of them even want to take any part of the military. How may actually do want to take part of this against the number of students who don't?

Oh and let us not forget the officers who are so gung-ho that they think they are really in a military camp during training days. I say "If you're so gung-ho, why don't you join the real military and not some pseudo-military B.S.?"

If it is indeed a good program but rotten people run it, then it makes it a rotten program.

As I said in my earlier post, if they do implement the return ROTC, let it be voluntary.

And to those who want to learn how to fire a gun? Let's just say I never learned this from ROTC but I've fired almost all calibers. I probably know more about guns than my former officers.

..ok. im a prime example of ROTC corruption. I paid my NS 11 and NS 12 coz the offices gave us "hints" to another way of passing the dreaded ROTC. Of course, we all know what that meant. PAY UP AND PASS. And that's what i did.

then you are part of the corruption...

i think naa man gihapon field training ron d ba? i mean dili CWTS... but unlike sa una nga mas daghan ang percentage sa field training, karon kay ang estudyante na jud ang mo pili asa siya ganahan... So I think ok na ang set-up karon.
