I had never experienced Vanilla and only became a regular player a few months before retiring from Legion. Being able to play Classic wow gave me the same intriguing world - I prefer the build options, social networking, and equipment options of Classic because it feels more like a roleplaying game than a selection of pre-made characters like retail. My friends say they hate it while I torture myself, but this is my first experience with it, and so far I think it's a much more satisfying/meaningful World of Warcraft.
