Update: @jackdi, I called 254-8247 and reached an eBiz office. Technically, they cater Philequity clients, but they're not Philequity themselves. It's Western Union.
Yes they can assist you in opening your account. However, for those who are like me (Man of a million questions); I would prefer to contact them via email instead. I've tried this once and a representative sent me an email, scheduled me for a video call through Skype for some reason I can't remember any longer. Then, she told me that if I have some questions in mind, she can also answer those during the call. I haven't gone through the call though because I was still too hesitant that time.
Is there any way we can determine whether we are talking to an authentic representative from a certain mutual company? Can we run some background check on them for security purposes? I am just too hesitant to trust people especially when it comes to my hard earned cash.
Awwwwss.. mao pod. Lisud ibutang atong hard-earned money Sir on something nga naa pata'y gamay'ng doubt.
Kung ingon ana Sir, mas maayo pa nga you go for FAMI or PhilAm.
Naa jud sila'y ilahang office diri sa atoa.
Puros naa sila naa along Jones.

Check if they are CIS certified. CIS stands for Certified Investment Solicitor, a certification or license given by SEC to individuals allowing them to sell mutual funds. Mao ni ang gibuhat sa SEC in order to protect the public against scams. If dili CIS certified imong kadeal ug MFs, be very cautious. As much as possible, avoid third party distributors.
Thanks for the information, sir @makie29.
My understanding on your response specifically in determining whether "they" are a "Certified Investment Solicitor", is that you are referring to the Mutual Fund company itself.
However, my question is: How will I guarantee that my email being sent to Philequity's website reached the right team and not to some computer programming geniuses out there, who intentionally hacks these Certified Investment Solicitor's email databases, to gather potential investors information and contacts them personally. I know this may sound paranoia, but this sort of question reached my mind and it bugs me bad. Hihi.
I hope you can shed me some light
Thank you sir.
I get your point sir, the problem is: something makes me really interested with Philequity. I have no doubts with the capability of FAMI nor PhilAm; something is just dragging me to Philequity. Hihi.
I just can't easily trust the representative who responded to my email coz there could be so many uninvited guests out there lurking to grab you by the throat when you least expect them.
