the cost of a few justifies the gains for many. the ends ALWAYS justifies the means.. if the end fails, therefore the means are inappropriate... if the end is satisfactory, therefore the costs are worth it...

you are always competing with somebody else on one thing or another (like business, that promotion,the new job vacancy, politics, etc).. failure to recognize this competition will only get you trampled upon by those who are more ambitious and aggressive... as they say, NO GUTS NO GLORY!
what is morality? is it what the church teaches you?.. there is no such thing as absolute morality... what may sound good to you might not be good to somebody.
as to the agendas of the church whether it is "moral" or earthly which we dont know for certain.. you may just be only a means to be used for their desired ends (like more political power or wealth gain)
legalized Abortion on CERTAIN CONDITIONS may be a means to serve a much higher ends which may benifit society more....
the ends always justify the means... the welfare of the many weights heavier than the cost of a few..
