now broadcasting live from Windows 8 Pro RTM

installing the RTM was easy and no need to install drivers (well... so far)
it even remembered some stuff like what people I had pinned to my dashboard, what wallpaper I had, and sites I visited in IE10.

but you would have to reinstall most of your apps again. but just right-click on the main page of the Store and it will bring up a list of all the apps you had downloaded before

on what machine sir? coz most baya sa laptop most manufacturer have their own drivers kay naay silay mga specific devices.... and its very common baya nga diri sa mga laptop ang usual nga issue for newer system... ill trying this on my vbox for the moment while im testing it, id prefer to wait this long for the RTM kay sa RC before...


again, the main reason why i have doubts on win8 is the long issue legacy application support.... from vista to win7 it still exists... before sa winxp pa wala jud na issueha.... hopefully naay maka prove nga wala na na siya karon.... daghan man gud ko mga legacy application specially sa akong buhat sauna winxp days pa... i have to support the user ani nga application...

Compaq Presario CQ43-301TU and everything worked fine after installation without having to install any drivers

Not quite sure about that yet as I haven't been able to find any official statement.
But I am playing games from 1990's directly on Windows 8 without any problems.

Windows 8 even has built-in virtual drive support. I can right-click on an iso file and just click "Mount"

Di ba ma set ang compatibility settings sa imo applications bro?
Ma set man nimo ang application na mo run in windows 7 and windows 8 by setting the compatibility to an OS of your choice, XP is still in the list. The application list range from windows 95 until windows 7.

ma set man... but as what ive experienced from vista to 7 it is reoccurring... dili tanan mo work ang compatibility option... specially on application nga karaan ug wala nay support.... ever wonder why some company before tend to stay on win98 or winxp even if naa nay mga bag-o, its because they are using specific application design for that system, beside sa gasto pag upgrade... one reason why some company tend to use web application than desktop application but not all have budget for a very expensive web application

afaik compatibility mode is simple virtualization...

in windows 7 and vista Need For Speed Most Wanted dili modagan you have to patch the games before na mudagan...

patching is nice workaround but not all application have patch...

RTM is Release To Manufacturer which is the final version given out to the industry... so it's actually out already. I got a copy via my MSDN subscription.

But official release or the GA (General Announcement) is October 26

NFSMW is already flagged na dimudagan sa windows 7 without patching, you mush have installed a prepatched version...

you can even search google dagan post ana specially sa sevenforums

ive alreadye fixed this issue years ago... its just that why does it need to be patched if they say it support all legacy application...
