Para sa mga arte dili ganahan mainitan, labi na rong panahon sa mga paigat2x ganahan jud mo-puti, mga pinoy nga dili proud sa ilang color, nah dili jud ganahan magbike2x oi... makakita gani kog mga laki ron magpayong miski walay ulan, blue sky kaayo, ambot di pod ba kaha to mga maya, hehe!! cycling is very ideal in our tropical climate, kay sakto ra atong kainiton, naa lang gani shade sa kahoy haruhay nang pamati...ang mga parener(specially europeans) man gani kay masuya jud sa atong klima kay we can go out the whole year round, di pareho sa ila nga paet kayong winter, nya sige ulan.. pero sila ila jud napatuman ang bike lanes labi na sa Copenhagen, and most european cities. kita nindot kayo ato climate and environment pero wa jud nato hatagig importansya...
daghan man gud pinoy arte, ganahan ra puyo og mall kay aircon, so pathetic, malingaw nag building enclosure artificial environment, mao ray tuyok tuyokon paclass2x dayon...hehehe! sa ato pod mentalidad maka auto gani, sikat na kayo kang tan-awon, tahor na kayo ka! maong nahan kayo mag auto2x miski naa ra within the city..mas nindot gamiton ra nang auto og layo nga travel or out of town...sulod syudad mag bike ta oi, use the public transport, and walk! para dili ta mosunod sa america nga mga tapulan kayong mga taw, gusto tanan easy, karon daghan kayo obese ang resulta, nya ila traffic nagkaworse miski lagpad nang dalan...hehehe
this video presents A good solution for Bike lanes... a good case example for separate bike lanes in New York City.

@ cebuski: dili man ta parehas sa US or europe bai nga bugnaw man ilang clima compared sa ato bai.. sori but di na in-arte bai..pusta-an pa gusto sad kag aircon og auto. convenience/comfort tawag ana bai. if naa nakay auto, natural sad nga imong gamiton, weither long distance travel or within the city kay wa man tay Mass transit system (aside sa PUJ or BUS). tanan example anang imong video link bai naa na silay Metro, which wala ta. di naman tawn parehas ang cebu sauna bai..karon nagkadaghan ang balay, nagkadaghan ang atop nga sin, so nagkainit ang lugar.. if naa ka sa pinas ron, sure ka nga gusto ka magkalaw-lakaw sa init kuyog imong pamilya? taga-adlaw? i bet dili sad ka gusto bai.. (no offense but i'm just saying)
this is a great idea..but i think we need the BRT first. prioritizing bike lanes for a few people is ridiculous (labi na nga kinahanglan pa i-widen ang ato dalan ana, daghan nasad maapektohan nga mga tao). like someone who posted here, after 2 years palit sya og motor, i wonder why? bottomline, we are going to go for convenience jud (most especially if naa nakay pamilya). wa pay kwenta ang safety ana..
great video!! naa diay sa NYC. Mayors, those who visited nyc on official travel must have seen this live?! is this difficult to implement? I believe that our attitude and behavior will change once govt will install the bike lanes with concrete barriers. they can even put culverts with small trees with the concrete barriers that will provide shade to bikers and inhale the CO2. That would be a much greener metropolis!!! Instant bike lanes with instant shade with instant pollution control, WHY NOT?
its because the government is not doing infras for the comfort of ordinary people, the common pedestrians, bikers... those without cars... the malls would benefit much and the rich, in this neglect of the government in giving comfort to our sidewalks, street level and the old city district... if the government would make our streets comfortable, plant trees along sidewalks, implement open spaces/parks, most probably people would be interested in walking, biking and shopping in our old downtown and uptown, then car would be lessen.. and surely the quality of life in the city would improve, and tourist would have a better impression about our city...it would make cebu more competitive and sustainable in the long run... our environment would be cleaner, and people would spend less on health, since activities that enable us to exercise and be active and enjoy our outdoor, with less pollution, will make us more healthy...comfort would not just be experienced in the big malls, where these mall investors and the elites in the society would only benifit... its not about the climate! its the city's poor dirty environment and bad infrastructure...I have a car but i only use it when going far out of town, but in the city i walk, and use public transport..its much easy and wouldn't take much of my time looking for a parking... and of course this would work well when implemented together with an effective mass transport, like the BRT...
this video shows a very comprehensive implementation of Bike lanes in a city! the best example of a livable, clean, and less-car dependent urbanity. hope we could have this in Cebu city soon! sure this will improve our way of thinking and change our american-like mentality of having more and more is a measure of success.. cause in the end desire and too much ambition would not bring us any good.. still we all go back to basics...simplicity and going back to nature is what naturally make us, humans truly happy, the inner happiness...
Enjoy The Videos! (its time to patter our urban development/planning to that of the european cities, not the US)
