That thing you're saying, that could be the result of the badmouthing of the Philippine media to the Marcos family. I would need the video showing that Marcos was indeed responsible for that communist insurgency. Otherwise, I consider that black propaganda.

I know how the media manipulated minds of people and told them how bad Marcos was. I don't trust the media.

no I didn't trust all things from the media. in fact in my own opinion Filipinos are not ready yet to embrace democracy. We are just imitating USA brand of democracy. However I am against with Marcos plan for a full military control because I witnessed my father being harassed by the military in Mindanao when I was young. You know what I witnessed the people power 1 and it was so scary and chaotic in Mindanao at that time because 57th IB from Marcos army which was deployed in our place. They were very notorious when it comes violating human rights. However some were gunned down by local armed groups and muslims..thanks to them hehhehee.

I'm really so sorry to hear about your father. But during the People Power, it was Marcos order not to attack. I really don't know the entire story though because when Marcos ordered that, it was an order to the Marines in EDSA, not in other places.

But really, if that communist attack did not happen, we could've been richer than our neighboring countries today! Martial Law is all where it started, and Marcos got no choice but to declare that.

Mark naa man kay point gamay. How much more kung halos tanan constitutional rights wala nimo kay diktadorya man ang gobyerno.

This really makes perfect sense. Yes you're rich yet you can't have the privilege to perform your constitutional rights because of dictatorship. I know that. That was considered Marcos' con. The pro however, is our country to be free from poverty.
