Ang mga tagalog-speakers sa mindanao are actually bisaya-speaking jud, naki adapt-lang sila, murag uso ba or "in" thing. And this happens largely in Davao tungod sa mga big companies tagalog kasagaran ang top & middle executives...natakdan pud dayon mga katabang, drivers, guards, etc... apil pun mga tindera/sales ladies sa malls. Pero masakpan nga patagalog-tagalog ra kay wrong conjugation, instead of "umulan kahapon", you will hear "nagulan kahapun". Ang "tumakbo si boy", it becomes "nagtakbo si boy". I noticed nga tanan tagalog verbs mag prefix lang sila ug "nag-" ayos na.

    LANGUAGE

Section 6. The national language of the Philippines is Filipino. As it evolves, it shall be further developed and enriched on the basis of existing Philippine and other languages.

We all know that there is no such thing as a Filipino language. But each of our spoken dialects is considered a Filipino language whether you are a Tagalog or a Bisayan speaking citizen or every other known dialects as well. But because the seat of government is located in Manila, it is obvious that the TAGALOG language was to become the official Filipino language during the proclamation of the 1935 Philippine Constitution.

To make my long essay short hehehe. We, the Bisayan speaking citizen of the Philippines have the advantage over our TAGALOG speaking counterparts or whatever you might like to call them. We understand TAGALOG whenever they speak the dialect but the TAGALOG's don't understand the Bisayan dialect. Isn't that enough for them to know that we've just hit two birds in one stone? Lucky for us and from my point of view, I'm not complaining on the issue of a national language.
mau bitaw gitawag national language coz all people knows how to speak that language....ang Bisaya himuong basis for the Filipino language?....daghan2 pa sad baya ang tagalog speaking community na di pa kasabot sa atong dialect......

kanang sa mindanao, di man gani ta kasabot sa ilang "Bisaya"....but they speak fluently in Tagalog which really makes Tagalog a national language because as what I said, masabtan sa tanan and kaya istorya sa tanan...kung mugawas ka sa nasud, ang mga Pinoy mag-Tagalog para magkasinabtanay esp nga di sila parehas ug province...

Bai, mura nidiretso ra man ka reply without really reading unsa ako gipasabot. Wala baya ko moingon nga himuong basis ang Bisaya as Filipino language. Pag chure diha bai oi..... why don't you proposed to make Tagalog language as the National language and let's see kung daghan ba mo agree sa imong proposal.

dialects being spoken in the Visayas: visaya/cebuano, hiligaynon/ilonggo, waray, karay-a/aklanon. dialects in being spoken in mindanao: visaya, hiligaynon, maguidanaon, maranaw, tausug, chavacano, surigaonon, tboli, blaan, and some other minority dialects that i hardly remember. i will not include luzon cause there's no place in luzon that speaks pure visaya. i encountered almost all of these dialects and only 15% of them can speak and understand visaya. but almost 90% of them can either speak and understand tagalog eventhough their accents and sentence construction differs from the other. nevertheless, they can express what they feel and send their message among other people with different ethnicity.

sorry bai, nilahos lang ko repz...want to state a point lang...sorry

naa ta Cebu and kasagaran sa Istoryans Bisaya....daghan jud disagree....put this into example, ang Cebuano, dili kasabot sa Hiligaynon, Waray-waray, Tausug, and such which are Bisaya in general.....kacomplex ra anang Bisaya, pero pa-Tagaloga na sila, magsinabtanay....the purpose of a national language is to unite the whole country with one language.....ayaw ingna nga itudlo ang Bisaya coz ang Bisaya, mas complicated pa kaysa Tagalog....

P.S. In, 1937, Tagalog was the National Language of the Philippines which was selected by the National Language Institute and is still the basis of our national language until now...
