ABS-CBN TV crew member freed (8:52 a.m.)

JOLO - One of the three TV journalists abducted by suspected Muslim rebels was freed in Mindanao late Thursday.

In an early morning news, ABS-CBN confirmed that cameraman Angelo Valderama was brought to the home of the mayor of Indanan town in Jolo island, .

But anchorwoman Ces Drilon and cameraman Jimmy Encarnacion were still with the kidnappers. Their guide, a Mindanao State University professor, was also with them. The three were unharmed.

The report said the kidnappers were saying Valderama's release was a free "gift."
